Temp profile is loaded each time you logon to a Windows Server 2008

On a Windows Server 2008 (for example a XenApp 5 server), you may run into the problem that a TEMP profile is created each time a user logs on.

The situation we encountered: profile type was roaming, and the status was temporary. The solution can be found in the Microsoft article 947242.

  1. Thank you! This issue popped up on a 2008R2 server and this link fixed it. I love how microsoft says that this happens when a profile is accidentally deleted from the system. They don’t say how the profile gets deleted for no reason at all by themselves 😉

  2. Hi:

we are facing temp profile issuse in Xenapp 2008 server. We have tried the setting which you have given but we haven’t found any sid.bak files in regedit(as give path).PLZ give suggestion.

  3. You can use del prof2 for remote profile deletion or you can use ” Tsprofcleaner ” , It’s a free software that know how to clean roaming profiles and local profiles
