I’ve been testing several Run-as tools. My prefered one is Run-It as.
See http://www.chessware.ch/runitas/index.php?language=en for more info and if you want to download the utility.
This handy freeware is straightforward, simple and does what it is supposed to do. It allows you to create a shortcut to launch a program using other credentials, without having to logoff/logon. You only have to type the credentials once for each shortcut, and the user/password are then saved in a file (scrambled, I don’t know with which encryption). So this would for example allow for someone to work as standard user, except for those programs for which he/she needs elevated rights, which can be launched using a Run-It as shortcut.
